Just started playing this this evening. Well, there went some hours. For some reason the HP system seems to work on ships, even though it works terribly on planes and passably on tanks.

Earned my way into the hallowed halls of Carriers. However I am terrible at carriers. My torpedo bombers barely ever hit anything, even when I set the release point fairly well. Also I love how a single fighter squad from a tier above me can melt 2 fighter squadrons with ease.

You're right. I think there's no actual difference in fighters between the IJN and USN. I think the big difference seems to be that all the USN squadrons I fight against have 5 fighters rather than my 4.

I think the patch makes a difference in Battleships, just had a game where I sunk 5 enemy ships. Still lost though, which made me sad.
