i mostly use it to store urls i visit rarely or infrequently, more as a means of not forgetting things. sites i visit all the time? well i either remember the url and just type it in, or i just leave a tab open. here's one of my favorite bookmarks:

I bookmark stuff that I want to revisit but dgaf enough to memorize the url. or if it has a long url. I have a lot of bookmarks I don't bookmark stuff on imgur though. I save it locally but keep the original filename so I can relink it later, but I can reupload if it gets taken down or something.

i use them so i can right-click on a folder and have a bunch of things open up in tabs that i look at every day and close tabs as i go to indicate progress some things like an online banking login page are too complicated to type or require several clicks through an easy-to-type front page and gently caress giving advertisers money

i set up a web site with a form to save links and made a bookmarklet so i can save them with one click and a spider that feeds a searchable index plus user-definable tags and of course the spider checks for updates and respects robots.txt files its me, im the autismest
