Oooh, Long War, the last version I played was beta 14 I think, and the early game is ball-bustingly hard in my opinion, but I'll definitely be following this. I'll sign up as a female German soldier, with a preference for either Infantry or Aussault, but I'll take whatever class comes up.

I'm going to assume for now that if I do not have any soldiers that fit the country-of-origin criteria are okay with having the appropriate language selected - for example, I checked this morning, and I don't have any soldiers from Australia (Which is too bad - one of the Aussie male voices has my new favorite line). Otherwise I will try to fit country-of-origin with the requests. There is a boat-load of new flags, so getting a 'Canadian sniper' might be tough, as I only have like 2 Canadians that haven't reached specialist yet, and I avoid making random subclasses when possible.

I don't care what country of origin I have, really. I'd prefer Canada, Ireland, or the US, but it's not a huge deal if my dude ends up being from Germany or something. EDIT: Or if they're even a dude

Me,me,me i want to die honorably and leave a good looking corpse. To that end Any kind of Heavy with Blue armor tint and, assuming long war didn't gently caress around with how many different types of armor decals and such the kind of armor that looks like a bomb defusal suit (if you've played Payday and think of the bulldozers, a suit kinda like they wear)

Looking at all the changes to meld and overall costs I might go shivs long before I think about MECs, because the foundry projects will be much more important, and I'll need some units to tank. I used to avoid shivs because of the opportunity cost.
