Real Standings. I'm off by a point for both Michigan State and Kent State. I checked my spreadsheet and it all adds up properly. So I guess they must have lost a team point due to unsportsmanlike conduct or coaches getting warned. I'm leaving them in for now until I see something official but they are both way back in the team scores.

That was a huge win for Moisey last night to knock off a returning finalist. He'll have trouble keeping it going this morning though. He's 0-2 against Klimara this season. He was able to close the gap between their two matches, going from 10-2 in January to 5-3 at Big XIIs. So another upset isn't entirely out of the question. A loss would drop him into a fairly tough, but not ridiculous, R12 match with, most likely, 5 seed Boyle from Chatanooga for a chance to be an All American. Morales actually lost in the quarters but he'll have a very winnable match in the first round this morning against an unranked guy from Northwestern. But in Consolation round 3 he'll probably run into 8 seed Martinez from Boise State, who will be super tough.

Yeah, I am just happy they advanced (something a WVU wrestler hadn't done since 2012) and the first time in the upper half of the bracket since 2010. It's even cooler because Moisey was supposed to redshirt this season and is a match away from All-American.

I guess Jake Smith is also, technically, still alive too since he's in wrestlebacks.

Been a down couple of years for us at the end of the Craig Turnbull era -- I think he'd mostly just lost his touch. Sammie Henson's doing a good job of rebuilding and moving us towards competing the Big XII, which to be fair has been a pretty big shift for us.

Reminder that you can get live brackets here including the mat assignments to know what mat to watch on ESPN3

Quarterfinals will be on the center mats and consolation round 2 will be on the outer mats. Consolation round 3 will follow. Then tonight is the semifinals and R12 matches, which are the best matches of the whole tournament in my opinion.

The best semi finals matches are the ones with the highest numbers because I think it's really cool when low ranked guys make it to the semis. And of course I bash on Pitt and WVU and they both have semi-finalists.

125: (6) Gilman - Iowa VS. Unseeded Moisey- WVU
165: (15) Ramos - UNC VS. (6) Walsh (IND)
174: (8) Wilps - Pitt VS. (12) Crutchmer - OKST
184: Unseeded Courts - OHST VS (7) Brown - Lehigh

Only 1 number one seed out is boring.
