What confuses me the most is why the Rebels have uniforms so different from the rest of the country. Most of them are probs ex-loyalist soldiers; why don't they have their old uniforms with a few motif changes?

As such when they made this one they decided to do the Highschool Drama spin on it, because that is a popular genre in Japan. Apparently the 3rd one is super popular in the West (despite only having a fan patch english release) but once again not so flash in Japan.
