dpack_1 posted:I think I've won IOT. So how much money did that end up being? There's actually a physical limit for "all the money", assuming it was similar in size and composition to the linen and plastic sheets we use: around seven Y (yotta, 1024) would fill the observable universe; eight Y would smother it or maybe worse (it'd fit eventually) - and that's four Y more than you could make out of all the stuff in the universe, even if you could fuse it into the proper elements on the spot and assumed Zimbabwe dollars or something. If it's all in ledgers and databases, or the sheets are plastic credit cards rather than wet-weather national bank notes, or you hold with new findings that the physical universe is several orders of magnitude larger than the observable universe (still only a Y and change at the outer limit), you could have quite a bit more. dont be mean to me fucked around with this message at 13:16 on Apr 11, 2015 |

Lone Goat posted:You sure the bundle wasn't on Steam? I think that's how I got it. I'm pretty sure 10000000 was in a Humble Bundle before they did Android stuff. It'd be strange if they did go back to add it.

allsizesfitone posted:We're never getting another Kairosoft game, are we? I tried so hard to like Fiz, but it's not the same. They tried to do subscription no-ads on a paid game, and I did not make that up. The relative paucity of releases after that should give you a hint as to how they took the lessons from that experiment (hint: probably mostly the wrong way).

Google is still letting games release with no app data sync in the space-year 2016?!

MisterBibs posted:What's the difference between an apps AppData and it's cache? I run into the out-of-space thing a lot on my phone and delete the largest cache stuff with the greatest of trepidation, just because I don't want to wipe out one or the other only to find I've deleted all my progress in a game or something. Android app cache is ostensibly strictly temporary. You might be worried because some web apps and browsers on general-purpose computers implement their storage poorly; that's against the Android design spec. A game that stores persistent data in cache is a game that isn't worth playing. I would absolutely NOT clear out anything from the Android folder in user-space (and ideally not from on an SD card either), though. Apps get to play a lot looser with those. Also a lot of Android phones have anemic storage space or did dumb things like use a separate partition for dalvik cache (old Galaxy S 1 phones; this was basically gone by 2012 in phones worth buying and certainly in anything that's reached 5.0 (read: mandatory ART)).

I 100%ed Puzzle Craft 1 and I literally just noticed the existence of Puzzle Craft 2. How much will its (I'm assuming sight unseen) f2p bullshit make me hate life?

Captain Fargle posted:Hey guys, is there a way to get the Play Store to actually show you proper listings in a category and not just what's currently a "Top Application" or "Recommended for you". You know, like an actual loving storefront? I tried to go browse around earlier but that's loving pointless when you can never get more than like a hundred results for anything. There doesn't seem to be any way to sort what results you do get either. It's loving garbage. Search. Better results on play.google.com. Better results still by using regular Google search for "[thing] site:play.google.com". Unless you mean a more catalogue-like thing, in which case by purpose or topic no not really. For apps anyway developers/publishers have their entire bodies of work available from any of their titles.

Does this Legendary thing have a formal save recovery thing, seeing as how it doesn't do Cloud Save?

I mean it doesn't use the specific Google Play Games feature that I mentioned, so does it have its own account system or does it dehumanize itself and face to Facebook or what.
