  (source) The Pagoda of Merkshan was built millennia ago alongside an oasis in the frigid deserts of Pimonia. It started as just a simple place for nomads and their camels to have a drink before moving on their ways, but it has today become a crucial resting area on the silk routes between the Emirate of Cazan and the larger empires which loom ever closer to her domain. The nuns of the pagoda have just three simple rules: - If you are inside the pagoda, you are family; - If you are outside the pagoda, you are stranger; and - If you hurt a nun, you die. These rules are hard and fast, and the nuns' kindness and generosity for food and water can be taken away at a moment's notice if someone in their "family" abuses the trust even slightly. So when the nuns woke up one morning and discovered their mother superior murdered, they locked the doors and brought out their weapons - it was time to clean house.
