I'll totally vote for him in the elections, it just won't do any good - even in the one in a billion universe he wins and everything else is the same, he'd be able to do even less than usual since both Republicans and Democrats owned by the wealthy would be pulling against anything he wanted that didn't fall in line. But it will definitely feel better than voting for Hillary so thanks for encouraging me.

Beef Turret posted:Face it, you'd have a better chance of effectuating change with a can of spray paint than by throwing away your vote every 4 years. Why degrade yourself like that if i cared about degrading myself i'd just pop a bullet in my skull cause daily living as a blind welfare queen is already degrading enough. might as well degrade myself with something i can actually feel good about and share with others for a change but really lol that standing in line and filling out a form is 'degrading', is applying for jobs degrading too?

Kanthulhu posted:My point is that politics won't change because the place where the money is coming from won't change and as long as money keeps being the key factor for deciding who wins an election all the good intentions in the hearts of these new politicians won't mean poo poo because no one will know they exist and people will continue to vote for the most expensive campaign. if the people with big money fund candidates that don't win they tend to get real grumpy, and if they find that the reason those guys lost was because even though the unfunded guys crowdsourced their campaign funds from the youth who then outvoted the voter blocks easily bought by corporate candidates they'll eventually either decide there's no profit in backing pure capitalist scum or they'll keep throwing their money away until they haven't got any any more

City of Tampa posted:The only part of Hillary that's going to be pulled to the left is her rhetoric, temporarily. The left doesn't have the kind of money needed to make Hillary change any of her views or plans. Good faith or not, the only role that Bernie's candidacy has in this election is lending legitimacy to Hillary's coronation and bringing stray liberals back to the party for the general election. it doesn't matter what bernie is coaxed into doing if he drops out of the running, i will not vote for hillary. as long as everyone else here resolves to do the same republican victory be damned it will not matter how much fuckery is being done because the message that we cannot be easily bought will still reign
