To be fair, I think Freeze developed all of that stuff independently in the animated series.

Yeah, but it wasn't established that GothCorp's major business was cryo. The animated series made it seem like Fries was just a specialist using company property for his own ends, but his contributions to the company as a whole weren't that big a deal. But now we're led to believe all GothCorp does is cryo, cryo, cryo.

Batman in the animated series also never bought into Ferris Boyle being a good dude. Additionally, the award ceremony wasn't held in his mansion and Bruce Wayne did not attend it.

I'm okay with those changes though, since this is supposed to be a younger, less experienced Batman. Not connecting the dots by this point is a bit silly though.

This is what Alfred needed to prep the XE suit for. It keeps Batman warm and siphons his body sweat to make soup starter.

It's not quite over yet! One more video to go.

So I guess Earth 2 is a little bit weirder than...Earth 1? New Earth? Prime Earth? I've lost track over time. Anyway, the Earth 2 Dark Knight is actually Thomas Wayne. Bruce Wayne died due to shenanigans and Thomas Wayne (a former mob doctor) stepped up to take his place. He does this with the help of a medicine that gives him extreme stamina and strength and agility and whatever else for an hour. Also Bruce and Selina Kyle (Catwoman) got married and had a kid, Helena Wayne, a.k.a. Huntress. Selina's dead too by the way. Earth 2 Batman is more willing to kill criminals and so is Thomas Wayne, a big front page asked WHO WILL BATMAN KILL TO SAVE HIS FAMILY? Or something like that.

I think that's Flashpoint Bruce Wayne and it's different from the Earth 2 stuff but I could be wrong. In Earth 2 Bruce Wayne was actively Batman and then died in some supervillain shenanigans. Flashpoint Batman had Bruce getting killed in the alleyway instead of Thomas and Martha.

I'm kind of disappointed the sidequest in the DLC ends without any further confrontation with Anarky. I guess he's still in prison? Then again, we never see him arrested. I do like how Batman becomes less "Batman smash!" once he finds out the reason for Victor doing what he does. Batman certainly needed a more sympathetic side of himself shown, and that's where this DLC shines.

There's also Penguin telling that guy to put his neck into his hand so he can choke him. :allears:

I'm not sure if Scruffy showed off the radio broadcasts, but there is one where you can listen to Anarky early in the game. It starts at 2:19 in this video.

Thank you for throwing in a few triple counters for me, it is deeply appreciated. That said, I think these are just straight-up the exact same ones that were in Arkham City, but it's not like the game's swimming in new animations in general, except those that deal with the new enemy types.

Yep! Forms similarly to how a stalagmite does, just doesn't take hundreds of years to do. You can even have an icicle form over one and they merge together to make one big pillar of ice

I haven't read Earth 2 but the one hour things sounds like the Hourman formula. That would actually be a weird thing for a game, integrating Batman with the golden age war heroes (Hourman, original Star Man, Star spangled kid, crimson avenger etc.). Or hell even a game featuring them at all.

Seeing the XE Suit in this game makes me really hope for something I've always wanted to see in the Arkham games: other Batsuits. They were handled really well in LEGO Batman 1, where certain suits - like the heat suit, or explosive suit - were required for certain levels or mechanics or puzzles, and I feel like Rocksteady would make great use of something like that in Arkham Knight. I don't think they are, but if for some reason they make a fourth Arkham game, I'd absolutely love to see that.
