Xam'd OP SHUT UP AND EXPLODE. Never watched this show either but I don't think it was very good.

Xam'd is pretty drat generic, right up until you can spot something that they obviously lifted from a better anime. Whether it's the female lead's outfit and gear (Nausicaa) and her glider (it's the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop), or a giant monster escaping through sealed doors up a colossal elevator shaft (granted pretty vague, but they way they do the scene and dialogue is pretty drat similar to Neon Genesis Evangelion).
