UP AND ADAM posted:

That's like my favorite scene in the show (at the end of the penultimate episode). If you have any doubt that Nana Mizuki is Tsubasa:

The show's creator has said in interviews that one of his goals with Symphogear was to make it as close to replicating a Mizuki Nana concert as possible, and IIRC he came up with the idea while at one of said concerts.

I'm finishing the second season right now and I think the strangest thing about the show (that can't be explained with "anime") is the hilarious hateboner against anything remotely Western. I think this is the first time I've seen NASA as a villain.

Eyeshield 21 had NASA High School as a rival team with a villainous racist coach, does that count?

Info for the inevitable concert is out. And it's a freaking 2-day series in the Budokan.

This is gonna be expensive. And probably worth it.

The first 5 minutes is peak Symphogear, and the season has just started. What.

Let's start with an earthquake and build up to a climax! Samuel Goldwyn would be proud.

They also have a Tarot motif, an Angel motif and an Elemental motif. They have a lot of themes going for them.

The fifth theme is the one they're gonna sing for their character single :rimshot:

I'm starting this series since people keep telling me it is one heck of a wild ride, I'm about 3 episodes in and so far it's not really all that crazy. Does it pick up soon?

Starting from the first series? Yes, after the angst and training montage and exposition are ready, it straps you in on a rocket to the moon. Or maybe it lets you surf a missile to the moon. Things get kind of weird.

I'd be very surprised if she was actually "dead". We still need to see a lot more of her back story and her immolation suicide kind of nixes that whole thing. Maybe she has a backup body like Elfnine ready to transfer her mind into?

This season's twist: Not only was Kirika a reincarnation of Fine, she's also a Carol homunculus. Poor girl has no luck with anything.

Hello, thread. I am back from Japan.

The concert was lightyears better than the season, not that that was a very high bar to begin with.
