Will the patch include some kind of "culture = realm name" modifier? "Uyghur" painted across the map makes me think of it.

I'm pretty sure it's perfectly compatible with Iron Man: editing title names happens during the game, it doesn't affect the difficulty in any way. So you can edit your realm name but not have a customized character in Iron Man.

The Silk Road is not technically just for Nomads. But looking at the map you probably need to be a steppe Nomad or Indian for it to matter much.

Anyone looked at the files to see how the Silk Road works?

This seems to be extremely rare, though. I had it pop on a Paranoid ruler many times, but I didn't use the console to see if it was correct.

The 'Spy On' Action can reveal true fathers.

If you got high enough Intrigue relative to your wife/her lover, you can find out who they are and then choose to keep quiet, or reveal it, and gain the cuckold as a rival. Don't bother following up on it if you're paranoid, it'll give a lot of false positives.

I think the event you're talking about can work independently of the "but you were away" one.

It's kind of clunky, for lack of a better word. There's a lot of style, but the gameplay feels unintuitive. I don't know if I just haven't got the hang of it. I feel like it should've been Dune-style space feudalism without any transitional period.

I've been playing Oxford, focusing on WoL hijinx, and England is hosed.

This is England during a good year:

Edward III decided to create the Kingdoms of Ireland and Wales and institute Gavelkind. A bit of border fuckery happens and Ireland owns a good chuck of England, including Middlesex. The Hundred Years War never happened, or has been contained mostly to the British Isles.

Edward's descendants fight each others constantly. English-held Ireland has disintegrated, most of French land has been lost. England and Wales were briefly reunited by a Plantagenet Queen, but she married a Wittelsbach (HRE) and a Stewart (Scotland), so they got Wales and England, respectively. At one point I matrilineally married my daughter to a landless Plantagenet, who I then got on the throne, but who was then deposed. Now I put his son on the throne so I'd get a weak king and could declare war on him to grab Winchester (Medium Crown Authority). The price for my landgrab was dividing England once again.

Ever since Edward III died, I don't think there's been a decade without England being divided and devastated in some war. Wales (mostly English now) is the most stable and powerful state with some good allies. Middlesex keeps going to Ireland. One Kaiser chose Seduction Focus so there's a fuckton of Wittelsbachs to go around, and thus HRE has intervened several times in bloody campaign. France invaded England proper too to reclaim land.

Everything is terrible, peace is a fool's dream, the sons of England are born for war, live for war, and die for war.

Meanwhile I've been cucking everyone in the background, because I don't know how I played this game before WoL.

I don't think anybody actually requested a role-playing add on, which would explain the extremely negative reaction to Pdox "wasting time" on WoL instead of adding an alt-history scenario with a horde in the west.
