I finished Lonesome Road last night and I think overall it's my favourite of the DLCs. Now I just have to decide whether I want to back House or NCR and finish up the main quest.

My simulplay shall be abandoned, but I started lonesome road and was locked into the Yes Man track. House's fatal mistake was not noticing me turn off all his securitrons one by one.

i'm going to wrap up doing the kimball quest for house and helios 1 for the followers, and then head into LR. my simulplay nears its conclusion. i can't remember... is there anything else i do for the followers apart from helios and the mormon fort stuff? i feel like there's a lot more to the faction, but all of the named NPCs just give me generic dialogue options at the moment. i'm also not sure how to get an opinion on the kahns, since i'm not exactly working for the ncr, and i killed vulpes in nipton.

You get the westside followers quest from Lt Boyd at McCarran. There's also some followers stuff at red rock like jerry the punk and I think the peaceful non-speech option for dealing with the Khans.

well, i finished LR. i decided to not hug a guide for all of the stuff, and missed a few things as a result. altogether it was a really fun dungeon crawl. much better than i remember it. i like that it's geared towards end-game characters, and gives you a way to use all of the monstrously overpowered poo poo you've horded by that point. i talked ulysses down, had ed-e sacrifice himself to avoid bombing anyone (although i should've bombed the legion), and headed back to the mojave. i think i'll wrap up by doing the kings' questline, maybe red lucy's stuff, and then triggering the final battle still siding with house.

I think it's just that Dr. Reddit Science's radscorpions have too much armor and you're supposed to use energy weapons in Old World Blues but I only have guns.

If you borderline sequence-break by doing Lonesome Road before getting to the strip of course it's going to cause weird poo poo. The only reason they even included the faction relations reset was just so you wouldn't be permanently locked out certain paths (and e.g. never even meet Caesar) because you took the 'wrong' side in an early quest.

Well yeah. But I just think it's kind of amusing that I swore to put off the main quest for a little while and next thing I knew I was level 50 and still never went into the Strip and now the NPC dialogue is all kinds of weird.
