if you go with the grandparents do absolutely everything you can to make sure your footprint is tiny and do whatever you can to help them out for their generosity. At least then you'd have somewhere safe to crash while you look for a different place to live. Maybe stay out much as possible during the day too. Just be really open with them about what's going on. I know if I was them my biggest worry would be you don't have concrete plans for moving on, and you seem to be fairly on the ball about that. Good luck.
