MGS2 blew my f*cking mind when I rented it. I had a few late PS2 games with impressive graphics too but MGS2 was way way way earlier than all of them. Shame I had no idea WTF I was doing and never got past the container ship.

i am playing through all the games lately. i've completed 2, 3, and peace walker. over halfway through 4. never played through peace walker and 4 before this, and i have to say 4 is my fav of the series so far. i was really bad at these games forever because the controls are not so intuitive at first but once you get them down... it's something else. i'm playing through 4 on a no-kill run my first time through and it's hard not to use all the cool guns and poo poo.
