Accretionist posted:Really reminds me of that Ted talk about creating walkable communities as an alternate to "places not worth caring about (see above)" In retrospect, that talk is hilarious because everybody in the room is probably involved in the tech sector in someway, and was supposed to be one of the "new urbanists" who were going to bring about the glorious revolution. However once they started to interact with poor people and people of color, they decided maybe the suburbs had it right the whole time. So they built their headquarters out in the middle of nowhere where they could have a private walkable compound, and when they do build in cities they need to make sure they have sky bridges so their people won't actually have to interact with the people who live in the city. New urbanism will not happen in America until we have nothing but affluent white-only cities.

Sure some of them are crazy, but even the most extreme cases--sabotage of pipelines, for example--seem to stem from major players doing real and tangible harm to the well being of the activists and/or those they sympathise with. Everyone knows the CLIT isn't a real group, it's just an unorganized offshoot of the Liberating Apes Before Imprisoning Apes movement. The fact that current American government still exists is probably the most damning indictment of liberalism. Almost one year ago more than half a million people from all 50 states and the territories marched on Washington and instead of simply marching into Congress/SCOTUS/the White House and kicking the current government out, they just "protested" for a return to the status quo and all that energy was essentially wasted.

By doing this instead of having these populations voting in different neighboring districts like 5,6,8 and 9, they prevent tipping the scales there. Basically by collectively pooling all the black people into one district they are only giving them that one district instead of many more. Gerrymandering! MMPR is the only way to go. I keep pushing to make it part of the county platform, but I think people just can't quite wrap their heads around it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT0I-sdoSXU Gynocentric Regime fucked around with this message at 16:33 on Jan 2, 2018 |
