That's a great channel. Kinda like a crack-head/youtube Australian daily show thing. I never pay much attention Australian politics, but it seems to have sad parallels to American's in regards to the Reagan/Bush II born-again/pro-corporate bullshit machine.

Been reading Jack London's The Iron Heel. I have to admit, even as a child of the Reagan's Commy-Hatin' 80's, it's hard not to get fired up by some of the pro-Socialist rhetoric. Fortunately, I read Darkness at Noon a while ago, and learned about Stalin's corruption of the whole Communist Utopian ideal. I guess Marx & the gang overestimated the moral superiority of the proletariat. Ultimately, blind adherence to any rigid ideology is doomed to internal corruption. I was disappointed to find out London misquotes Lincoln with this fine statement: quote:As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned, and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working on the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the republic is destroyed.
