I'm going, might get a hotel for Friday and Saturday night so I don't have to drive back and forth from my apartment 3 times, haven't decided yet. Would also be much easier to hang with the crew that way. Last year I was still living in NorCal so I stayed some tiny-rear end motel a town or two over from Reseda because it was cheaper, it was only like a ten minute drive so if you want to save a few bucks that is also an option.

Also, as long as I've been going to PWG tickets always go on sale at 8 PM Pacific, usually on a Thursday 3-4 weeks before the event. So if I had to guess we're probably looking at either the 30th of July or 6th of August. GA sells out in less than ten minutes even for a run of the mill show, so for an event that draws people from all over the country like BOLA you're going to want to be at your computer RIGHT when they go on sale or you're definitely screwed. Like epistasis said, it's a good idea to either have funds already added to your account (or your Paypal linked directly to your bank account if you're brave/stupid like me) and make sure you know your Paypal password from memory because it will ask you to log in even if you've already logged in on the Paypal site proper. Assuming GA tickets stay at the 45 price point they are now, they're 46.65 each after the Paypal fees, so you'd need 140 in your account for all 3 days.

Nights 2 and 3 were waaaaay better than Night 1 last year anyway, although I did really like Ciampa/Elgin and the trios match. The second two days were just that bugnuts.

Something I just thought of today at work: if anybody coming to BOLA from out of town would like me to buy them a Tozawa shirt at Threemendous and pay me back in August, I can work that out. Just let me know before Friday so I can make sure I have enough cash because I try to get out of town as early as possible on PWG days so I can beat the worst of the traffic.

I've already explained why I think Zack's winning the whole thing this year, and I'm even more confident in that opinion after he beat Hero at Mystery Vortex III. Zack has yet to lose a match in PWG to anyone other than the currently reigning champion, and against both Roddy and Kyle he was portrayed as taking them to the limit. Ricochet also hasn't lost a singles match in PWG except his title shot against Kyle in ages, so I think to protect that he has to at least make the finals. Unless you do a Rushmore post-match attack like Roddy did to Kyle last year, but 1) they just did that, and 2) Roddy was at least in the bracket last year and nobody from Rushmore 2.0 is this time. Then you just need someone reasonably popular and well-booked to take the fall, and the obvious candidates for that to me seem like Cage or Trevor (maybe Biff now that he's winning matches), unless they want to really get behind one of the outsiders to mix it up.

The first round looks very little like what I expected but also I think almost all of those matches look great, so idk? Guessing that Cage, Ospreay, Trevor, Pentagon, Sydal, Scurll, Thatcher, Tommy, Speedball, and Zack all move on to round 2, not sure how to pick Everett vs. Biff or Evans vs. Angelico. My gut is that Everett advances since his tag partner probably will be, but they might not want Biff to lose if he's going to face Super Dragon in singles. Or maybe Super Dragon will never wrestle a singles match in this comeback run, who knows?

Interesting that he thought Ricochet's match with Sydal was better than the match with Tozawa. They were both great but I definitely would have given the edge to the Tozawa match, but it sounds like Dave isn't partial to the DG style and it was definitely that type of match. It's also weird that he refers to Swann, Trent, and Ricochet/Cage as being from other promotions when they've all worked PWG for years.

I'll have a car, but I don't have tickets at all so I'm gonna have to be in line pretty early all three days. I'm driving in on Friday and will probably head right to the legion hall for Day 1, so the most convenient day for me to hang out before the shows will be Saturday. I have a hotel room Friday/Saturday night (not the hojo, there's a no-name motel like 10 minutes away from Reseda that's a little cheaper, I used it last year when I was still coming from NorCal) so I don't have to drive back and forth every day and waste a bunch of gas, so I'm down to hang out after the shows.
