I found a acc. that lets you make vine ropes, a wimpy little wand and made a yo-yo. That's about all the new stuff that I've found so far. I wish I wasn't so poo poo at making homes. They're square box rooms with slanted ends on the far sides.

Last time I played I think I had my trenches 6 or 7 blocks wide and I used stone brick (since I had thousands of stone blocks) to line it so if I can keep it narrower that'd be nice. They took the corruption spread out back in 1.2 because it was too much.

Please keep posting bases everyone, I'm waiting on one eventually inspiring me to copy-paste it into my own world because I've just got block rooms as it stands right now. Anyone make anything interesting with Dynasty wood? edit: I really wanna make a base. Like, a bar too- basically I just want it to look like people could live there and not be crazy. I didn't know what to do with it, but smartitem told me to use my pickaxe on it, so I did, and it just shattered and nothing came out. Did I ruin my magic sword? Is one supposed to always get SOMETHING, or are some of them totally fake and do nothing? Yeah, some are fake and some give you stuff. You did the right thing by breaking it. If it makes you feel better, I managed to find two of them but no caves so I'm going to have to just buy up a lot of dynamite or just go make a new base in a new world.

I used to to cut out some grinding (i.e. biome keys, chlorophyte ore, souls of night/light. boss summoning items, buffing potions you get for fishing). Since this already exists, does anyone know of a map viewer already done? I've only just now discovered where my caves were and I'm in hardmode.

Rather than agonize over what to do and never be satisfied, I'm gonna post my base and ask if anyone here has any suggestions. I just took out the doors on the first two floors and I'm just gonna use the trap doors because the NPCs don't get stronger once you activate hardmode. I've got to make room for another four NPCs and that'll be it.

I haven't played in forever and re-downloaded with 1.3. With approximately a billion things to get/make, it's a bit overwhelming in the beginning. You start with a copper shortsword. The first thing you should do is cut down some trees, make a workbench, and make a wooden longsword.

Having not played Expert, my Expert advice is to not play it until you've done most of the normal mode and then run through expert like a maniac shrugging off the crazy buffed boss attacks with your Beetle armor, grenade launcher, and sick yoyo tricks. Buuuuut I'm a guy who's against nerfing late game items like the Spectre set, Vampire Knives and Red's yoyo. It's endgame, why make things less good? If it really bugs you so much you don't have to use em.
