DiU is mostly in color at this point though. JoJo's Colored Adventure's got volumes 1-11 colored and there's a different group that did volumes 17 and 18 in color while everyone was waiting for Invincible Trio to finish those scans in B&W, so you're really just waiting on volumes 12-16 in color.

Its stuff like that that make me appreciate the Zenyatta Mondatta fight more for a rare glimpse at what the Crusaders do for fun during downtime. I.e. Stuff like Jotaro showing off a billion party tricks or Polnareff starting eating contests.

Kobayashi being moved to tears is very reminiscent of Speedwagon being moved to tears by Jonathan, but since Kobayashi wasn't completely swayed into helping Team Good Guy any more than he did, maybe it's Araki saying that Koichi only kind of has Jonathan's heart of gold?

Maybe hold off on Part 5 til you know how Part 4 goes because... ...the beginning also spoils a different stand power from Part 4. Parts 6 and 7 should be ok, but Part 8 is stacked with Part 4 references so definitely avoid that one.

I'm guessing some early fights that are kinda long are getting compressed? I doubt they'd wanna have the first couple of fights all be 2-parters since they were pretty long in the manga, IIRC.
