The WrestleMania 9 shambles where, instead of Bret retaining his title and leading the company into a new era, he loses it to Yokozuna...who immediately challenges Hulk Hogan to a title match for no reason and THE HULKSTER WINS IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS YAAAAY.

Then Hulk refuses to lose it to Bret or appear live with it, then loses it back to Yokozuna at the next ppv.
