DarklyDreaming posted:Book Palmer is a total putz who spends the entire first book and a bit of the second failing to see a downside to helping bring about the vampire apocalypse, TV Palmer is actually just a little smarter than that and knows when to negotiate with the Master from a position of power and when not to. Just a little smarter though, it's still painfully obvious he has a shelf life and will get eaten sooner or later I hope he dies the same way as he does in the books.

Yea, that "explosion" was a real let down after Fet's bomb threat line.

This ep was pretty good. Eichorst hiding his terror at the gallows and acting nonchalant as he flicks a cigarette for the other SS officer watching for his reaction was the best part. Richard Sammel and Ruda (Dutch) have got to get some kind of award out of this one.

steinrokkan posted:Dutch would be far more tolerable without the accent. Yeah, the flashbacks to the idiot doctors having a romance and the divorce thing... what a waste of everyone's time. The Walking Dead did the same thing with flashbacks just being farts in the mouth to everyone watching.

Rick and Morty finale had more emotional impact. Also, Palmer taking Coco's(?) heart was interesting because in the books it was Setrakian who kept his lovers infected heart in a jar.
