computer parts posted:it's because 8.1 was the real windows 9 I think they intended to stick to do yearly updates of 8. like 8.1, 8.2, etc. two things led to that not happening. one is general incompetence, inability to "steer the leaking ship in that direction", hence the windows 8.1 update 1 lmfao. second the windows brand being damaged so much it didn't matter how much they fixed it. oh i mean windows is fine, it's just people don't like 8 any more. sadly the public is not a fan of 8 and they don't want to be associated with it. the windows brand should have zero problems after throwing the number 8 under the bus. make everything windows.

I had to force my upgrade by running wuauclt.exe /updatenow or else it would have downloaded it whenever Microsoft wanted I just punched windows 7 in the balls I think
