RAWR
I was brushing my furry boy Cosmic and noticed a growth on his belly. He's roughly 3 yrs old, neutered at age 2, lived in a terrible animal hoard before adoption which means he had ringworm, mites, and congestion when rescued.

Animals get growths as they age. Like skin tags on humans, a lot are completely benign. I notice this one sometime during the winter, because it's one of his boy cat nipples. I say IS because originally I thought he just had a slightly longer nipple and dismissed it when I first noticed it. But today it had quite obviously grown. It's on his nipple, completely taken over it. Cosmic has blackish skin, and it was hard to photograph the growth as the top part is black too. Right now it's made of something hard, and quite frankly is shaped and feels almost like claw material. It's about that size of a claw and slightly curved. I almost feel like you could pinch it off - no pain or grumbling when touched. The base is whitish though. I'm freaking a little bit because the nipples are connected to the lymphatic system, I think. Not really sure but apparently there is such a thing as kitty breast cancer. I'm hoping it's a 'horn' growth and benign.

The other cat needs his rabies booster, so I was planning on calling vet tomorrow and bringing them in on Saturday. Any reason to panic sooner?

Whats your cat's weirdest growth? My cat has a claw for a nipple.

i managed to get slightly better pictures by removing my fingers (guess camera was focusing on them)

So we have the one growth that is longer, shaped and feels like a claw

Then the nipple above it is also discolored, and starting what looks like a similiar grow but the size isn't much more than normal

For reference, this is what his other 4 healthy cat nipples looks like

I'm betting something similiar to the feline papillomavirus, but I can't find anything online talking about expressing on the nipples and I'm worried because of what those might connect to and sometimes the growths are cancerous. Vet apt made for Saturday.
