I forgot to edit the OP with a link to the new update! That's done now. So I'm gonna take this opportunity to open the second round of the competition! In this latest video, we met Viola, a woman with some hair, who has a very cute little pet furry creature of some variety named Arco. I want you to guess how many scenes Arco appears in throughout the entire game. The closer you get to being the one who got nearest the right answer, the more points you'll get. Since we can't really judge this competition until a fair amount of time has passed, I exploit my status as thread creator by awarding 1 instant bonus point to any guess which is accompanied by an image of your own adorable pet companion. I want to see pictures of cute animals, and I want you to provide them for me.

Here's a cool dog I found in Cool Dog Group on Facebook to celebrate that I'm finally done with my exam project. Update in the next couple of days probably. It will require some editing. Fort Fermata is not a good dungeon, and we did not have a good time playing through it. It marked the first and only time (if memory serves) where we had to resort to a walkthrough for non-optional stuff because frankly, loving hell man. sleepy.eyes posted:Also, here is my hoary old beast.  I'm not gonna lie, we got kind of frustrated when we were playing through this dungeon (at least I did, I got the impression Hbomb was having the time of his life). I've severely sped up the most pointless backtracking and aimless wandering, and it's still an hour long. I wanted to keep it in its own, single video, so that way it's over and done with and we can move on to more silly cutscenes, health sponge boss battles, and informative PowerPoint presentations. Enjoy, I guess?? Look, I said and heard the word "taxes" more times while I was playing this game than I've done for the entire rest of my life combined. That's gotta count for something, somehow. With that in mind, and with the American political circus (which I assume most of you are at least peripherally aware of) currently running at full gallop, I want to hear your takes on the political leanings of our gallant warriors. Or, to put it more succintly, I want you to tell me who the characters of Eternal Sonata would vote for, and why! Completely up to you how much effort you put into it - a paragraph about Beat's secret love for Ted Cruz, or a run-through of the political leanings of every named character we've ever met complete with photoshopped election posters. Points will be given out free-form with no set minimum or maximum, mostly by Hbomb, with the caveat that I get to step in and veto his decisions when he inevitably decides to take everyone's EternoBux and replace them with equal amounts of linen.

I went through the original recording, all ready to point out the lizard that had clearly been eaten by compression, but no, I couldn't find it. Even after fiddling with the video, tweaking brightness, contrast, and gamma, I didn't find anything. Our editing workflow is that Hbomb does some magic bullshit to the audio of us talking, which I don't understand because I am an amateur who just barely knows how to use Audacity. Then I take that and sync it up with the audio from the game, adjusting volumes as necessary so the game doesn't drown us out. Then I do any necessary editing to the actual video and upload it. I say this to explain that, if either of us has Life poo poo come up, that can bottleneck getting new episodes up - Hbomb had some poo poo happen, on top of being busy with the videos that people on Patreon actually pay him for, and that is why it has been so long since the last update. This is a swamp level.

Just for reference, the combat system isn't fully unlocked until you visit an optional dungeon immediately before the final boss fight. If you don't visit that optional dungeon, or just don't know it's there, you get to go into new game plus without the final Battle Level, which cuts your potential damage output per turn to about 1/3rd of what it would otherwise be.
