I've been listening to Cowherd a lot more because of the big lack of commercial breaks (like half of what ESPN has), and I actually kinda like the long form interviews that he has now. On his ESPN show, like most ESPN shows, the interview only lasts like 7 minutes. With his new gig, he's going 15-20 minutes in interviews and it's kinda refreshing. He also doesn't lob softball questions like Mike and Mike do so that's nice.

I can't believe I'm doing this but if Cowherd is the other option I'm going to suggest listening to Jim Rome for interviews, he's actually sort of ok at that.

I've always abhorred Cowherd and Rome's actual opinions on sports but I've never really minded either of them as interviewers. SHRUG

That's pretty much how I feel about Costas so I can understand it, although I'm not going to bother listening to Cowherd to see if the interviews are good.

15 seconds of local sports talk analysis:

"You know that Ryan Fitzpatrick is really good, just slinging bombs all over the place. He's got a little Philip Rivers to him, actually you know he may be better."

People in KC think this?

Only severely challenged people think this. Kevin Kietzman is one of those people. I hate listen to him now and then, he's firmly of the belief that Philip Rivers loses games and is the reason the Chargers haven't won a Super Bowl and have been bad recently.

Okay so he's ruining the only good show on in that time slot, guess I don't get to listen to sports talk on my drive home then. Unless Charlie Palillo ends up somewhere else at the same time (which he should, he's probably the best sports radio host in town).

e: Houston Chronicle article about it

I was going to jokingly ask if Nick Wright was in that time slot and if you didn't love his always subtle takes, then I looked him up and Fox Sports hired him. Because of course Fox Sports hired him.

I don't understand what happened at all here, but I guess that's probably the point.

I'm assuming you just haven't seen the picture?

That's the same man, once back when he was playing and then a few days ago. If you have seen the picture then...yeah just sit and think about it for a while.

The show, which is airing right now, hasn’t addressed the arrest. It opened with Esiason saying Carton was “under the weather” and a guest host would be filling in.

Well, they're nothing if not upfront about what's going on.

What Governor Codey ought to do is approve the use of medical marijuana so women can have a joint and relax instead of putting their babies in a microwave. Then all they want to do is cook Doritos. My assumption based only only knowledge of humans using the internet to post is that "cubans arent real hispanics" or something

Alec Baldwin's wife may have spent her entire adult life pretending to be hispanic, including speaking in a fake accent for years and years. Probably did. It's all very dumb, but disproportionately large since it's the type of scandal that is something so stupid you can just laugh about it.

I might be the only person who reads this thread that is more familiar with the Fullcast than Dan's crew, but from what I do know it seems like one hell of a good match.
