Yeah, the only complaints I saw widespread was that a bunch of people thought it was boring, which, fair. Examples we have watched include Tearmoon Empire, The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess, Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, and Squid Girl. Bocchi the Rock for sure Uzaki-san is pretty similar to Nagatoro San in that aspect, so you might like that one too.
