GDI mission 14: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUFJdq_momY It really shows that you are supposed to do the GDI missions first, and that the Nod missions were rushed and didn't have as much effort put into them.

And here we see the main Scrin strategy: Build ground units to look pretty and bog down the enemy, build air units to get stuff actually done.

It's been a while since I saw it, but I could have sworn there was an extra scene at the end of the good ending which showed Boyle being arrested.

I remember something where drunk Lando is under armed guard and in handcuffs in some news footage. It might have been a trailer or a sexual fantasy. Nuramor posted:And here we see the main Scrin strategy: Build ground units to look pretty and bog down the enemy, build air units to get stuff actually done. Now that we're in the Scrin campaign proper. They really should have made it so you couldn't capture Scrin units and structures, would have emphasized how different the should have been, instead of just another faction in the game. Their early units feel paper thin compared to GDI and Nod though.

Scrin Mission 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmedzk6qMxA Skip to 14:18 after 1:22 for the successful run. About this mission: I honestly had no idea what they wanted me to do for the majority of the mission, and the answer was "mind control something -> send to it's death" The commando you get in this mission operates significantly differently from the normal unit. Mostly that it's teleport has unlimited range, and it has no attack.

So...why did you need to get an engineer to shut down their power? The map wasn't really set up with enough defenses for that to make sense, you could have just marched your devastators right up and melted them all. I understand they wanted to do a commando mission but drat, establish that the enemy has entrenched defensive positions on the map first. Anyway why does the space jellyfish want you to stay and investigate the humans?

Because plot maybe that the enemy has sonic emitters guarding their buildings, which more or less destroys tiberium and tiberium based things (scrin). And a human engineer won't be killed by the sonic emitters like a scrin engineer would. Because I felt like it. The space jellyfish wants to know who called the scrin to earth, how do the humans know about the scrin, and what are they plotting. Next mission is the last scrin mission. After that I will be going back to the other campaigns and trying to find the missing intel. SugarAddict fucked around with this message at 07:54 on Jan 28, 2016 |

I was more looking at the fact that the level was poorly set up compared to how the mission briefing described it that, had you started the mission with all the units you had at the end you probably could have just moved them right up to the base and blown everything up.

That is true. And the second "Because I felt like it" was to the fact I used the three air artillery and slowly picked apart the enemy base with it, if anyone was confused. But yes, with the army they gave me at the end if they had given it to me at the beginning I could have just steam rolled them.

Why oh why couldn't they have gone with this obvious plot hook rather than the atrocity that was C&C4?

# ? Feb 5, 2016 19:54 |

Development oddness, basically. This is as I've read only, it's probably inaccurate: Was going to be a C&C Online originally; for the Asian market. I believe it fell through for whatever reason. Then they decided to use it for the next C&C. And gave them basically no time for anything at all. Personal opinion: Wouldn't have been so foul if it was(For instance) GDI and NOD hopping around Scrin Planets(Where the Tiberium is controlled and the need for such mobile mini-bases is more apparent). The NOD victory theme is so space-like I get the feeling there were thoughts along those lines. As it is, keeping it on Earth was....weird. Yeah, it's a shame they don't patch that much, they'd get such entertaining patch notes. * Infantry units can now open fire. * Water is now non-passable terrain rather than flat ground with a texture. * Third campaign can now be started. Last one would be DLC of course.

Things of note: Titans and Behemoths are significantly stronger than Nod Tanks, that GDI commando in the video is wearing horrible outdated armor, Infantry is more or less useless because everything kills them quickly and en masse, GDI sending attack choppers in the beginning of every mission to wander around your base and kill all your infantry is annoying (I lost 7.5k in engineers in the last mission on my test run), they've uped the cost of refinaries to 3k and we only get 500 back from selling one, massed air power is boarderline useless because of new AA units that kill air en masse, we are actually an AI.
