So we have a cat, her name is Daphne. She is cute. got her from shelter on Tuesday. Noticed later in the week one eye is squinty. Today she doesn't want to open it and has rubbed at it a few times. She does have some discharge, though the eye, lid, and second eyelid all look fine.
We will certainly take her too the vet asap, however weekends are emergencies only. I just want to be sure it can wait until the week. Does anyone have a clue what it could be or how critical it is?

I know it's kinda late but it sounds like she got some sort of irritant in her eye and it just needs to be flushed. As long as the discharge is clear and she has no other symptoms I'd say it's okay to just keep an eye on it until you can get her to the vet.

So, I think it's cleared up. Vet not till next week. Nothing like a freaked out first timer
