This is the best year of football ever.

I'm literally feeling almost nothing.

No anger, sadness, only emotion is being amused at Jimmy Clausen Starting QB.

I have/had so few expectations for this team, that them not getting 50 put up against them counts as a win in my book.

Cutler doesn't suck, Cutler is around your average starting QB. You replace him if you find something better sure, and I'm not gonna complain if he's cut and they draft someone but he doesn't come close to "sucking". He's just good enough for you to feel something when he makes mistakes but not good enough where you will just let the mistakes slide. People expect him to play perfectly and blow him up when he plays a great game and then throws a pick because a Linebacker makes a great play. Ignoring the fact the Defense just let James loving Jones run a train on them the entire night.

Jimmy Clausen sucks, I don't expect anything from Jimmy Clausen If Jimmy completes a pass I get happy and am shocked, That's the sign of a sucky QB.

If the Bears defense played anywhere near as well against any of the other teams they played this year as they played against the Seahawks in the first half they may have been able to steal a win. But Cutler is not going to be able to carry an entire loving team on his back and play perfectly going drive for drive with an opposing offense, especially with a weak right side of the offensive line, and having a WR's core of a One Legged Alshon Jeffery, Josh (first catch in his 4 year career happened one week ago) Bellamy, Eddie (slow) Royal.

There are like 2 QB's in the league who you can trust if it suddenly becomes a shootout scenario. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Other than that the Defense is going to have to find a way to stop someone at least a couple of times, but poo poo, as I was typing this Kyle Fuller just had another 34 yard DPI.

It's because Cutler even subconsciously has the it factor that makes even the most rational of people lose their rationality and just hate him. It's the combination of his face, and aloofness, and being just good enough to get you to the front door of winning despite all the setbacks, and then bungling it last minute

I'd be 100% ok with Forte going to the Packers and owning. Only thing that would suck would be rear end in a top hat packer fans but I've dealt with them my whole life so what's one more bullet in their rear end in a top hat gun.

Also his job is secure for at least 3-4 years as long as he doesn't have a meltdown like Emery and Tresty did.

Way better. Lets be real, this team has played 3 of the best teams in the NFL. The Packers and Cardinals are running trains on everyone, and the Seahawks are struggling a bit, but are still talented as gently caress besides their terrible offensive line.

If Cutler was healthy for Seattle and the defense played as well as it did that game that game would have been much much closer. as Jimmy Clausen is a sucky rear end quarterback.

Put it this way. Trestman literally said that Jimmy Clausen was their best chance at winning. And that's the least offensive thing that he did during those last six games.

) Emery drafted 2 players who can play all of his other picks were hot garbage. And Trestman made the team an embarrassment, while somehow making Cutler a sympathetic figure.

This team around here is expected to be bad for at least a year or two. John Fox has some rope.

Going full 0-16 might make the leash a bit shorter. But real talk I doubt the Bears go 0-16.

The Bears are not that bad of a team anyway. The defense is getting better, and Once Jeffery gets back they will actually have a real rear end NFL WR on the team again.

The Bears just happened to play the literal 3 best teams in the NFC the first 3 weeks. And they only had an NFL caliber QB playing in 1.5 of those 3 games. If it wasn't for a Forte Fumble(which never happens. Dude only has 18 over his whole career), And a Missnap fumble because our center got hurt, and the one allotted and planned for Cutlerception they pretty well handled Oakland.

Essentially if the defense can play well enough to allow Cutler his one allotted mistake they can hang with and beat other mediocre teams

Waaaaay too many happy Packer fans in that scenario.

I am willing to be miserable as long as it leads to miserable Packer fans.

Lets go back to the timeline where the Packers are stuck with Brian Brohm and The Bears led by the Hero Kyle Orton have a stranglehold on the division.

Unless they are in a position to pick up a can't miss QB prospect in the draft(there is probably not one this year) He's probably here for at least another year, especially since it seems like he's picking up the Gase offense well. And the worst front-loaded part of his contract is already done(until you get to the monopoly money years in 2019). It would be pointless and dumb to cut him just for the sake of cutting him. Especially when the Bears are going to have so much cap space going forward anyway even with his contract(which is p much the going rate for starting QB's anyway) They are projected to have around 60 million dollars to play with next year with Cutler's deal still on the Books.

It would be pantshittingly dumb to give up Cutler for nothing unless you legit think you have found someone who can become better than him.

No he probably won't(unless they get a hell of a return for him). Hell Forte might be back next year.

John Fox is not a coach that likes to rebuild. Pace being a young GM is going to listen heavily to whatever Fox wants him to do.

If Fox/Gase want Forte back he's back. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought Forte back on a 2 maaaaaybe 3 year deal with one year guaranteed. In such a way he can be cut after next season if he hits the Running Back wall.

Keep in mind this offense is currently operating with 3 number 3 receivers as 1-3
