I'll probably update the op at some point but if anyone else wants to take over feel free. Rivals of Aether is a smash clone with original characters and a strong emphasis on competitive play. Those of you who have played smash will feel right at home. Unlike Smash, Rivals has no ledge grabbing. Instead, everyone can either wall jump or wall cling. There is also no shielding or throws in the game. Players instead have parry which if timed correctly will essentially stun your opponent long enough for you to punish them. The game is super fast paced and fun. The characters seem pretty original and the special moves seem to have a ton of depth. the move sets actually looks pretty decent but i cant get over it being a smash clone with only 5(?) characters. especially when i have real smash on wii u & 3ds

I mean it is in early access. There should be two more characters shortly and I wouldn't be surprised if more get added. The game is becoming popular pretty quickly.
