By this point you should have enough novelty gadgets to spread among your characters as is, I am just going to buy the one slot for my salvage o matic. Sure, maybe the ranger has the magic carpet, mage has the snowball, rev the tree tonic, oh and warrior can have the harp. It's just giving them their own flavor.

How in the world would you read that article and think that gliding was required to beat the shatterer? It's just something you can do. And it's pretty smart to make the plebs watch us glide, i bet xpac sales go up a lot once they see how cool it is.

I was responding to Rasputin. Locking the meta behind it is meh, I'd rather it not be since it's pretty meaningless and nobody is going to buy the xpac in order to complete one meta.

Half of my dragon's stand map just got disconnected about 1 minute into the looting stage, thereby missing out on all the pods. I try to remain positive ANet I really do, but yesterday the map failed because of a new build and now this. If you are going to design a system to lock out people who try to mooch at the end, then you SURE AS gently caress BETTER INCLUDE A SYSTEM TO PORT DC'S BACK INTO THEIR MAP. But that's probably just too difficult.

I just like that I don't have to adjust much to be a druid healer for open world stuff. I mean sure, I'd put more effort into it if I was healing raids, but now I can be the same ranger I was, but can instantly turn into a healer to help out the group and boost my participation. I just wish Ranger had better break bar destroyers, I haven't really found one I like a lot.

The end part seems impossible to fail, while the leadup events give a ton of time. As long as the three tags are communicating then you should be fine. But if you don't have a tag in each lane or they aren't organizing for one, get out.

Probably feel like the living story update will be the next thing to get people back into the game, so prioritizing that. I can understand it, it's not like someone who quit is going to come back to grind to a legendary. Well, they shouldn't anyway.

I disagree with that. The last straw that sent me off from GW2 for the time being was grinding for the longbow skin from the xpac. It was such a frustrating grind, with each step a new surprise in how much more bullshit i needed to gather. Oh, and better hope you get a good map and don't get dc'd. There is a ton of good stuff with the xpac, but making every new map an event map was a mistake.

Yeah I was in tangled yesterday just making my way to an adventure, and the couple events i got caught up in showered me with keys and sparks. So much more than when I was grinding them.

Before HoT, I found myself bored with the Ranger because, for doing general pve poo poo, you were best just running GS/longsword. But now with Druid you can mix it up a bit, plus when doing HoT events you can hop into ascended mode or whatever and heal folks. It adds enough difference to combat to keep me engaged when doing long events. It can be a challenge healing idiots during the bosses phase of dragon stand.

Ehhh I was able to get the full elite spec unlocked during the hp train on characters with like 10% world completion, and those trains just did the first two regions of hot.
