what blew my mind about 2000 was that i had a single core athlon 1200 and i would od heaps of 3ds max rendering on it, but all I needed to do was to turn the priority with task manger of the process down and the computyer would run fine. almost as if the operating system prioritised everything else I was doing. if I hit ctrl alt delte the memnu would come up instantly every single time regardless of waht was going on. shutting down a process was always fast now i have 4 x the core, 21 x the memory and 3 x the megahertz and no spinning disks, and windows 7, but those facts are no longer true. lowering priority helps but doesnt completey fix the problem, and its like windows decides task manager doesnt dersevre to stay in ram or have a higher prioroity than anything else shits hosed up windows 7 smokes weed

i remember wanting to use windows 2000 as my main os but some of my games didnt work on it or something which bummed me out. i ended up putting it on an older P II my parents used and it ran like a drat champ and they liked it
