Well this is something I didn’t know you could do… if you have a Mac and an ATV on the same network you can open an instance of QuickTime Player, choose Movie Recording, then in the window that opens hit the arrow to change source and pick the AppleTV. Et voila, Apple TV showing on the Mac without additional hardware.

I tried with Tubi and it worked fine, gonna guess some HDCP or DRM bullshit might apply but it’s neat nonetheless.

Yeah kinda reverse in the way which you trigger it (on the receiving client rather than the one playing back), although it does seem specifically for capturing and recording rather than playing back live (but nothing to stop that either. I presume audio works, but I didn't have my speakers up when I tried. For me, audio isn't an issue as I want to make silent screen recordings of interface stuff etc)
