drat, even on Normal the prologue boss kicked my rear end. The only word that seems fitting is "jaegerbomb."

Easy is way too easy so far, though. :saddowns:

Thanks, the death cookies did the trick. Pizza cake.

What's the highest BP you can earn in the prologue? I got +14, but I chose "The enemy" when Anelace asked who dragged the two of them out to the forest, and I was wondering if "Kurt" is the actual best answer, since...you know.

Also it took three playthroughs of the prologue for me to notice that Kurt uses the exact same attacks in the last fight. :downs:

I am messing up so horribly in Chapter 1.

If you go to Ruan with Agate, make sure to hold off on the job for a photo in Sapphirl Tower. You'll have a better photographer in your group later on.

There's also a very short-term guild job that pops up sometime before the academy opens up.

Thanks.

It is indeed another Phantom Thief job. It should be available right after you start investigating Renne's parents and the threatening letters. Get some fire arts and S-Crafts ready before you search out the final clue.

Where do you get new fishing rods? I still haven't seen any besides the one in the casino. I've got a dozen baits I can't use.

Is there a list somewhere of the Gambler book locations? I've sort of resigned myself to not getting max BP first play through but I'd like to get the books. I'm still in Chapter 1 and have 2 of them so far.

I'm still only in Chapter 2, but the ones I've found so far:

#1: In the Prologue, while you're checking out the damage to the lodge after escaping the forest, head upstairs. It's in the room that was locked before.
#2: At any point in Chapter 1, you can buy it at the casino.
#3: On the flight from Ruan to Zeiss, talk to Olivier twice.
#4: After you meet with Lord Crainagh in the Erebonian Embassy in Chapter 2, head for the embassy library and talk to the librarian before you leave.
#5: While you're following Renne's riddles, one will direct you to "a bitter, spicy, delicious store." Head to the coffee shop in Grancel West and talk to the customer.

It does. I lost on my first try. I only saw a little part afterwards before I quit and reloaded, but it didn't look very different. A few characters do comment on you winning the fight, though.

No, you have to use Rescue Mission, Fight with Assailant, or Fate of the Fairies instead. :colbert:

I finally got a decent fishing rod for hitting the C bracer rank. Gambler Jack 6 and 7 are pretty hard to miss: You can buy 6 in Bose Market, and get 7 from a soldier in the Krone Pass Checkpoint barracks.

They can't do much when they're all constantly asleep/faint from damage food. Or frozen if I get lucky with the random one.

Ailment-on-hit quartz can proc from attack foods. There's a Deathblow 1 in a chest there somewhere.

You have to choose two ladies or two men right when you first enter the Sealed Area, and the option pops up for the first time. You definitely need a few Skull Pendants and Mirage Rings for that fight, ideally along with the Grail Locket and Lebensborn.

What should I make with the Zemurian Ore? I'm torn between weapons for Estelle and Joshua that would always be in use, or weapons for Agate and Zane to help them wreck faces as hard as possible.
