Who do you think are the worst fictitious cops? I think Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson form SVU up there. They pretty much have real world accountability but do a bunch of illegal stuff anyway. They out suspects sexual orientations, threaten them with prison rape; they're basically more than willing to ruin someones life in order to solve a case. Then they get pissy when IAB starts to investigate them. They also constantly try to tell their ADA's how to do their jobs. Also Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett from Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2. They shoot first, ask question later, are responsible for millions of dollars worth of damage, illegal wiretapping and led a siege into Cuba. When you think about it though, they barely have to account for their actions. There's apparently no IAB in their world so everything they do is just another day in the world of Bad Boys.

Carl Winslow was presented as a good cop but the only time I remember him doing any police work was when they were doing the jewelry sting and his mom had to kick the guy's rear end for him, and I guess that time when they built the robot Urkel cop.

They also constantly try to tell their ADA's how to do their jobs. actually the best/worst thing about benson and stabler is how angry they get when someone points out that the facts do not actually seem to point towards their favourite suspect, as if they expect everyone to pretend they are right even if they're clearly not as a bonus benson also does this whenever anyone learns anything that contradicts an apparent rape victim's account of her attack, but what's more is she often suggests that the only reason anyone would do this is if they are secretly some kind of rape apologist. like Victim A: Acquaintance B raped me, in location X! Munch: We've found material evidence that A was actually in location Y at the time of the attack. Benson: So what, she deserved to get raped!? pretty much exactly like that E: oh oh oh the best thing is when stabler or benson are confronted with evidence that their prime suspect is not guilty, and they respond by bringing up what a lovely person their prime suspect apparently is, presumably suggesting that even if he's not guilty he deserves to get framed. like "Oh he's got a solid alibi, I guess that means you want me to just let a paedophile go free".
