Bake and then mush up a sweet potato with some olive oil and salt and basil and whatever other spices then put it on a pizza instead of sauce, add whatever toppings and mozzarella, maybe some gorgonz too, maybe top with chopped walnuts for the last minute or two in the oven, mmm |

my grams sauerkraut recipe is infuriating a few cabbages salt tear the cabbage into hunks and put a layer down in a pot, about as tall as a woodmouse. put a big handful of salt in. well not your hands, Jesus Christ no, my hands. two hands of salt for you you got those from your aunt hazel she had the smallest hands I've ever seen. now put another layer of cabbage down and another handful -*disgusted eyeroll*- TWO handfuls of salt. keep doing that until the pots heaped full and mounded over. put an old warshrag on top and tuck the sides in tight. put a plate on top of the rag and a rock on top of the plate to keep the skunks out of it and set it out in the yard for a few or until it starts to stink pretty good

my friend who is throwing the party makes these stuffed mushrooms that are srsly what I would request for my last meal if I was on death row and I'm rly looking forward to it. he stems the mushrooms and chops a quarter of the mushrooms up with the stems, sautées that and mixes it with cream of mushroom and bacon (he does half the batch with veggie bacon for the vegetarians) and stuffs the mushrooms with that and bakes them and it's divine

Slow cookers / Crock pots are great for a lot of stuff. Pressure Cookers are too . . and they have the added benefit of saving a lot of power.

crockpots are good for cooking dry beans yes they're technically"done" after an hour or two on the stove but they're never as soft as when you get them canned, well put them in the crockpot all day and they will be soft as anything mmm |
