Because the malpractice insurer is paying the bill if the hospital loses, it can require the hospital to mount the best defense possible (or just outright control the defense) - that a fetus isn't a person under US law. To leave that argument out would probably require the hospital waive its malpractice insurance - and then the doctors themselves would probably be making it anyway. I think you are probably correct but, it makes it no less ironic. Joementum posted:Quote of the day, "The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats." ~ Ted Cruz. I knew about the JCTF-OIR, (Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF–OIR) is the Joint Task Force, established by the international (US-led) coalition against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), set up by the US Central Command to coordinate military efforts against ISIL, and is composed of US military forces and personnel from over 30 countries) but, I didn't know this existed until just now when it was mentioned by fade5 in the RSF Republican Primary thread; a YouTube channel dedicated to showing them blowing poo poo up in Iraq and Syria. Thanks fade5.

Yeah, I guess Morocco did temporarily reauthorize corsairs and revoke their hilarious sanctuary policy (for about a month) after the XYZ affair. France probably wins, but Morocco's a respectable second place. On the other hand, did we have active alliance terms with France prior the early days of the First Barbary War? Because Morocco pretty much immediately told the other Barbary states to go gently caress themselves and gave us civilian sanctuary rights, which kinda-sorta extended to military boats. Edit: We didn't properly re-ally with France for a... while, after the Revolution and so on. Post-first-Barbary-War Morocco might win the title.
