According to the Daily Mail, Ryan is having real trouble getting the stench of cigarettes out of Boehner's office.

Bonus, Paul Ryan sleeps in his office so Boehner's second hand smoke is probably literally killing him.

How much power does Ryan have over the house functions not relating to law? Like can he ban smoking in the offices and institute pizza Thursdays in the cafeteria?

I identify as a democratic socialist I guess. I live in Alabama so there's no reason for me to even vote most of the time. I just vote for whoever is black in city council and mayoral and state legislative elections and whoever is a woman in judicial elections and whoever is a democrat in statewide or national elections.

When they have votes in Alabama legislature it doesn't even break down as democrat vs Republican anymore. It's black vs white. The few white democrats remaining just vote with the Republicans.

You know how a Christian will censor themselves and say "flipping" instead of "loving"? It's because they are all excellent flippers because of their gymnasiums. All Christians are really good at gymnastics in general, did you never notice?

Right now Trump is using Bush to attack Rubio, it's fantastic. He's really amazing at politics. The gist is basically "Bush is absolutely right about Marco Rubio and its really gonna hurt him, but Bush isn't smart enough to get his message out so he only hurt himself." Taking about Rubios credit card problems and how he used campaign funds to repave his driveway.

Bernie Sanders. Martin O'Malley, and Hillary Clinton all have very good, detailed criminal and social justice programs. O'Malley ironically probably the best (from experience of being terrible before?).

The one where you claim your opponent made a stronger claim than they did, prove the stronger claim false, then declare victory without ever addressing the actual claim. The charge laid at Bernies feet is ignorance/disinterest of racial and gender issues. This is bullshit though Bernie Sanders has been talking about social justice issues at length as a seperate issue completely than economics for months ever since he was criticized on it and has a detailed platform on it.

theblackw0lf posted:Bernie for a long time saw racial issues as part of the larger economic injustice issue. Recently though, thanks in parts to people like Symone Sanders (who is his top racial justice adviser), he has come to understand that racial justice is it's own separate issue and must be addressed on it's own terms. He also has the issue with saying some really stupid poo poo in the past like when Freddie Gray(i may be thinking of the wrong murdered black teen here) got killed in Ferguson he went on the news and said the problem was lack of job opportunities and college. But he really has done a complete 180 on that stuff.

Even if they were to start a true active genocide of the Palestinians we will continue to actively suck Bibi's dick if her recent statements are anything to go by. The Republicans might be better on Israel because they are dumber and eager to please so they might at least accidentally annoy them. Like how a dog keeps bringing you dead birds, or like Costello, Abbot's best pal but always getting him into trouble. The democrats will worship them just as hard but probably stay out of their way.
