Rhodes, a Nightseeker with portrait 4B. Rhodes was once a chemist in employ with a noble family; as is traditional amongst certain elites with a lot to lose in the Great Game of politics, the children of the family were raised on small doses of incredibly lethal poisons. Rhodes's job was to distribute and schedule the correct balance of cyanide, strychnine and nightshade for the little ones -- just enough to act as a vaccine, not enough to literally kill them. Unfortunately, life took a turn for the worse for Rhodes when she accidentally took crystallized Deep One sweat mixed with niter in her tea -- a tea she then shared with the family. Her eyes yellowed, her hair discolored, and her face fixed in an expression of slightly vacant panic, Rhodes was fired by her enraged noble sponsor, similarly disfigured, and entered the world with nothing but some of the rare metals she'd been experimenting with on her own time and a comprehensive knowledge of chemistry viz-a-viz killing humans with it. With no real career options open due to her blacklisting by her former employer, she became a sellsword and assassin. Her faintly friendly, stunned personality tends to surprise people whose first impression of her is based on the "murder vamp" outfit (which everyone says are mandatory for assassins for some god-awful reason).
