I'm on mobile and can't link, but Shark Tracker is an app that tracks tagged sharks (and boats for some reason) on their journeys through the worlds oceans. Most stick by the coast but some of them go on weird pilgrimages to faraway places. I like to pick a favorite and root for them. Edit: Apple: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/global-shark-tracker/id570772231?mt=8 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ocearch.activities&hl=en%22 Bomrek has a new favorite as of 19:16 on Nov 9, 2015 |

Merlin, a bird ID app from Cornell Lab of Ornithology. IDs any bird in NA with three questions. http://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/ The Audubon Society has a version too, with a couple hundred more species, but I haven't tried it out yet. It's newer and I've had Merlin for longer, so I already know what all the birds around my town are. http://www.audubonguides.com/field-guides/bird-identification-app.html

Well I tried this one and I think I already talked to the whole population of Saudi Arabia. Pretty fun.
