idk the details of your city. police auctions are one possibility. here there is a shopfront that sells office poo poo (furniture, desks, monitors, computers, random gear etc) on the cheap sourced from municipal agencies w/ an online auction site. you can pick up all sorts of great stuff placing bullshit bids on things, like stacks of laptops. my bud got a NAS + monitor for ~$20. i don't know what kind of computers or government there is in the shire but something similar probably exists
