I'm excited to hear 2 hours of Hillary talking about how much she intends to hurt ISIS while Sanders is bewildered by all of it. All people will care about tonight is how much we're going to intervene in Syria. Clinton will probably cross tie Syria to her views on Iraq and Libya in order to vindicate herself.

My Imaginary GF posted:You don't blame Clinton; you blame Obama's failure on taking initiative against ISIL, especially the "immaturity" of POTUS' comments yesterday morning to Stephatrunkalunkus, and allow the voters to insinuate that it was Clinton's fault for themselves. You blame anyone who was responsible for the Iraq invasion, because that's exactly what predicated ISIL.

Actually watching liberals go through the mental gymnastics try to justify military intervention is a lot more entertaining than watching conservatives- especially since they start unironically talk about Middle East.

DaveWoo posted:Um, if that's true, that's going to make the whole debate look bad. There ought to be some serious discussion of foreign policy, given the events of yesterday. I like it when all of these flat little lizards come out of the woodwork when things like these happen. There are only two things that can come out of the Paris attacks: fascism and the tangible benefits of hating immigrants.

Don't be surprised if it sticks around. It really doesn't matter. Hillary is not going to shut up about it at tonight's debate.

Tatum Girlparts posted:I adore that you can't even fathom why 'the media' wouldn't be super jazzed about a campaign having a tantrum and forcing a debate to change to what they want. Like, not event he republicans' pissfests could make their debate shift that much but suddenly Sanders' smug little dude has a meltdown and things change? In other words, let's talk about pure hatred, racism, and xenophobia tonight. These are all constructive, helpful discussions to the Democratic party TYOL 2015.

Tatum Girlparts posted:What does this even mean. Like, do you think we shouldn't talk about bad things because bad things make us sad? Because anything relating to ISIS is probably going to be done and over with before the end of this election, and that what will be seen tonight is pure fantasy. Like, "if I were President now I would murder browns THIS hard ".
