Go Bank is a good heist if you just rush it from the start loud. I really like the moving objectives, from inside of the bank, to the roof, to the serwers. With the new Turret Van it's even better. Anyway, Viklund is streaming him making new songs: http://www.twitch.tv/simonviklund

Someone did archive it, I was worried cause he doesn't save his past broadcasts on his channel. The song will be called Beatdown from what I remember, and there might have been some more to it, cause this is from the first stream, in the second one he improved it some more and there was the "assault fade" part as well.

Dr Cheeto posted:Light shotguns and automatic shotguns are horrid now. Loco and judge are still pretty good, and the reinfeld is pretty good if you can deal with that terrible fire rate. The joceline and predator both have a reduced pellet count (6 and 5, respectively) compared to all other shotguns (12) so keep that in mind. Uh didn't they just fix the pellet counts in this very patch?

A small Hotfix just dropped:quote:Hotfix 91.1 changelog If you wonder how many was "too many" favors on "Beneath the Mountain", do I have a screenshot for you. Pardon my friends artistic expression on the map. Obviously it was pretty pointless, cause you can only place 2 of every deployable in the level, so 12 was the max you could use. Oh yeah and in that heist, the "Loot on top of the mountain" isn't really in the highest place, it's in green boxes with Murkywater logos and it's scattered all around the top area. There were like 8 of those things on Vhard today. And man, in the Plane heist are you hosed if you decide to leave the cash stack on top of the truck as the last one, then the turrets will shred you to bits. Also Ex-President is pretty useless. Sure, you can heal half of your HP in a light ballistic Vest, but Grinder does it better, works in the same vest and doesn't require you to actually get shot. Also you can get I think maximum 15 dodge in the LBV while using it, with all the dodge skills, that's obviously more while running, but the armor is so flimsy you can't really rely on it in anyway. Well how wrong was I, the Santa's Worksop is actually Framing Frame Day 2 used for something THat's good, I like the map. It's as easy to get overwhelmed by cops as it was in FF2. Good shooting.

Drewjitsu posted:It's one of the things that makes game so goddamn great. Simon Viklund is a living saint. Yeah there really is no equal. Le Castle Vania really didn't come close. The music is kinda funny - many tracks are better in their soundtrack "compressed into one complete track" then the in-game "endles loop with pre-defined parts", while others are amazing in game but the soundtrack version is pretty eh. I really like the 2015 version of Gun Metal Grey as a track, but in-game it's not even half as good. Also, Clean Getaway is a good track that you barely ever hear the fun parts of, due to where it is in the game

Gotta love Grinder and Gambler (with the honorable mention of Muscle) for letting you clear heists with STYLE. 4 man crew, weapons and skills of choice, but suits only is great fun and a viable strategy. And the crew is so ridiculously fast with this, we're having a blast with no armor on.

Puistokemisti posted:The whole talent system needs rework, probably. You basically have three types of talents: quality of life ones like movespeed buffs, Fast Hands, Transporter, underpriced onepoint wonders like Cleaner, Spotter, Underdog and then the very good, build defining ones like Inspire, ICTV, Swan Song. This would be an issue, if the game was actually challenging. If you're a poo poo player, good skills won't help you with that. If you're a good player, bad skills won't stop you from being good. Also don't poo poo on Stun Resistance, it is a good QoL skill to have on all builds.

LORD OF BUTT posted:So I've had this game for quite a while and never once camped the stairs. Is it really that much better of an experience than playing with pubbies? I feel like I've gotten lucky because almost every pubbie group I join goes loud, and the one time I've gotten a stealth group they were actually really chill about me having no clue how to stealth. Everyone is poo poo. But on mumble, you can be poo poo with communication, and every coop game is better when you can yell at your team and they can yell at you.

Crabtree posted:Be forewarned that Goat Simulator is a game you can very easily burn out on or lose interest in if you're going into it expecting to laugh because of some grandiose joke. It's strength entirely relies on the player's ability to take a game and ruin it and find satisfaction in causing a cascading rag doll nightmare to fall on itself. But with the amount of effort Coffee Stain still puts into its game, Goat Simulator is both one of the only legitimate and self mocking Simulator games that is worth it in my opinion. It walks a very fine line between simple garbage and some smug freshman art project/flipped Unity asset con-job that tries to defend its "intentional" awfulness behind a veil of post modern "You bring your own interpretations to it, maaan" bullshit that both flood into steam like a endless river of crap. Then again, if you're a completionist, Goat Simulator people understand that type of mentality too, so like a proper sandbox it has a shitton of things to see, do and destroy in each level. Also you can do "tricks", and there's a list of those to complete as well. Oh and be wary that optimisation is not the game's strongest forte, but then again you're playing Payday 2 so you're probably used to it

Psion posted:I think the best challenge/minimal bullshit difficulty you're going to get is INH's Gensec on Overkill mod where it uses DW spawn tables and adds greys/skulldozers to the list but keeps Overkill values otherwise. It's more intense than regular Overkill difficulty (obviously) but it avoids some of DW's worst choices. Or just play Overkill in nothing but suits, even in full Masterforcer builds. Yes you can bring Grinder but why would you when you can be the scariest thing alive with Muscle. The Goat Sim Heist will gently caress you over for doing that tho.

John Murdoch posted:So we're officially up to three Payday-connected spun-off co-op games, not counting that other thing Overkill has on the backburner and a theoretical (but probably inevitable) Payday 3. There already is a Payday 3 and we're playing it. Today's Payday 2 is almost nothing like the Payday 2 at launch.

oohhboy posted:AT heists are great to get that High Speed Low Drag feeling. It's a slight shame it requires so much special equipment. That's what I kinda like about them, they really are the heists that promote something else then just Masterforcer builds for everyone, it actually requires you to prepare beyond the few clicks to buy the assets. Jesus why do we even HAVE assets at this point beyond pre-planning? Everyone is swimming in cash, there is no reason to have them anymore, they're just additional clicks you have to do before going out.

Mendrian posted:re:RPG balance Not gas - rubber bullets. No penetration, but massive stopping power. The Rioter (or Riot Officer, the cloaker captain) - armored enemy with a rubber bullet shotgun, which sends you to the ground in one hit. And not like it's a down - you get up in like 2-3 seconds. But that's 2-3 seconds of enemies getting free reign to shoot at you. I think that we need more enemies who can punish you for being in the wrong place, especially if you have to be in the wrong place to defeat them. Like Shields. Shields are the most dangerous enemy in the game because they have the ability to actively force you out of hiding and make you circle them, potentially exposing yourself to gunfire. Unless you decide to shoot them with something explosive, shields will gently caress you up. Not on their own, but when you leave them be for too long they will find a way to combine with other enemy units. Which in my book is good design, since this game is about drowning you in waves and waves of enemies.
