Someone did archive it, I was worried cause he doesn't save his past broadcasts on his channel. The song will be called Beatdown from what I remember, and there might have been some more to it, cause this is from the first stream, in the second one he improved it some more and there was the "assault fade" part as well.

A small Hotfix just dropped:

quote:

Hotfix 91.1 changelog
Update size: 28,1 MB

Fixed a crash on the Birth of Sky heist related to parachuting while using a controller
Fixed an issue on the Beneath the Mountain heist where players had too many preplan favors
Fixed an issue on the Beneath the Mountain heist where the AI could walk through a rock
Fixed an issue on the Beneath the Mountain heist where players could get stuck behind the vault doors
Fixed an issue where some players couldn’t mod the Platypus 70 with a Combine Module and Iron Sight
Fixed an issue where the achievement “1... 2... 3... JUMP!” could be unlocked on the Normal difficulty
Fixed an issue where the achievement “No Blood on the Carpet” could be unlocked on the Normal difficulty

If you wonder how many was "too many" favors on "Beneath the Mountain", do I have a screenshot for you. Pardon my friends artistic expression on the map.

Obviously it was pretty pointless, cause you can only place 2 of every deployable in the level, so 12 was the max you could use.

Oh yeah and in that heist, the "Loot on top of the mountain" isn't really in the highest place, it's in green boxes with Murkywater logos and it's scattered all around the top area. There were like 8 of those things on Vhard today.

And man, in the Plane heist are you hosed if you decide to leave the cash stack on top of the truck as the last one, then the turrets will shred you to bits. Also Ex-President is pretty useless. Sure, you can heal half of your HP in a light ballistic Vest, but Grinder does it better, works in the same vest and doesn't require you to actually get shot. Also you can get I think maximum 15 dodge in the LBV while using it, with all the dodge skills, that's obviously more while running, but the armor is so flimsy you can't really rely on it in anyway.

Putting the mask on instantly crushes your skull, so...

I hate that a largely complete heist design sprung to mind upon reading this. It could actually use the Golden Grin, now that I think of it.
The Fur and Loathing Heist-
"I've gotten word that the Murkywater CFO is attending some sort of high-end costume party in vegas this halloween. This is an exclusive party- tight security, weird costumes, lots of criminal behavior. We're going to sneak in as guests, kidnap the CFO, and drain some specific Murkywater accounts. That should bankrupt their cyberwarfare division and get us out form under Locke's thumb."
  • "Ok, we're in. You can go ahead and mask up, but don't draw your weapons- as long as you don't get too close, security will think you're just normal partygoers."
  • Now, aside from a general info, we don't know a lot about the target. This guy or girl is supposedly wearing some kind of animal costume, but that...doesn't narrow it down as much as I'd hoped. They'll have an entourage- look for bodyguards, track their movement. You may also be able to find clues somewhere about what kind of costume they're wearing.
  • "Ok, that's him[/her]. Man, what a weirdo. Now that we've identified them, we need to separate him[/her] from their escort in order to get their account codes. Let's see what info we can dig up. see if you can figure out a way to get them alone. Maybe there's info on what them on the hotel server."
  • "Ah...jeez. OK, this is gonna get...unpleasant. This guy[/lady] has some...specific tastes. Of the cartoon animal persuasion. OK, I have a plan, but you're not going to like it. Keep your distance for now. I'm sending you something via a dumbwaiter- I've marked it for you. First step is to dose their drink."
  • "Great. So, um...that thing you put in their glass- it's not an emetic, it's spanish fly. I'm sorry, but there's no other way! First, look around for clues about what kind of costume you should wear, then one of you needs to go to the storage closet and...gear up. Careful- those things are heavy and visibility is limited. You don't want a guard to notice you're packing underneath all that...stuff. I've left a bottle of sanitizer with the gear- you're going to want to pick it up first."
  • [BTW, very small chance the CFO's fetish is getting robbed by the payday gang, in which case you can either go get a giant foam heister mask, or you can just use your normal heisting gear.]
  • "Are you ready? Try to ignore where that thing's been. Get the CFO alone, tie them down and get the codes. You can take a long, cleansing shower when you get back to the safehouse."
  • "Next, we'll need to get some ropes to- oh. They. Um. They already had that in their hotel room. Um, great."
  • Now shout at them to get the codes. Don't worry about being loud, based on what we've seen so far I'm guessing they'll think it's...recreational shouting."
  • [a bunch of randomized events and hazards while you get the codes and the hack runs- room service, a manager received complaints, phone call for the target, etc]
  • "OK, time to get out of there. Head back to the supply room to get out of that thing. I'm still not sure that creep ever realized we were actually robbing them!"

Loud would be a bit like undercover, but with gun-wielding enemy Kawaii dozers and a lot of extra-weird costumes on civilians and police.

Jokes aside, I'd really like payday 2 to avoid any kind of sexual topic, even portrayed humorously. I just don't trust the community with it.

I think that the majority of the community would just pick up the Flamethrowers and bust stealth instantly, burning all civilians at sight. Cause this is the Payday 2 community we're talkign about, not the most inclusive of communities.

What I want to say is: what's your plan for loud?

The whole talent system needs rework, probably. You basically have three types of talents: quality of life ones like movespeed buffs, Fast Hands, Transporter, underpriced onepoint wonders like Cleaner, Spotter, Underdog and then the very good, build defining ones like Inspire, ICTV, Swan Song.

Everything else is garbage where you just try to figure out which ones are the least worthless ones on your way to the actual good talents. Best you can hope for if you change Tough Guy is that someone will do a tiny fistpump because they can Ace that instead of Stun Resistance on their way to Iron Man.

For all the freedom the talent system supposedly gives, most of the choices you can make are just wrong and make you a bad player and person.

This would be an issue, if the game was actually challenging.
If you're a poo poo player, good skills won't help you with that. If you're a good player, bad skills won't stop you from being good. Also don't poo poo on Stun Resistance, it is a good QoL skill to have on all builds.

Be forewarned that Goat Simulator is a game you can very easily burn out on or lose interest in if you're going into it expecting to laugh because of some grandiose joke. It's strength entirely relies on the player's ability to take a game and ruin it and find satisfaction in causing a cascading rag doll nightmare to fall on itself. But with the amount of effort Coffee Stain still puts into its game, Goat Simulator is both one of the only legitimate and self mocking Simulator games that is worth it in my opinion. It walks a very fine line between simple garbage and some smug freshman art project/flipped Unity asset con-job that tries to defend its "intentional" awfulness behind a veil of post modern "You bring your own interpretations to it, maaan" bullshit that both flood into steam like a endless river of crap.

It's just a silly game and you can tell the people that make it really like what they do.

Then again, if you're a completionist, Goat Simulator people understand that type of mentality too, so like a proper sandbox it has a shitton of things to see, do and destroy in each level. Also you can do "tricks", and there's a list of those to complete as well.

Oh and be wary that optimisation is not the game's strongest forte, but then again you're playing Payday 2 so you're probably used to it :v:

re:RPG balance

The problem is expecting enemy longevity to be tied to threat. The reason Cloakers are dangerous is because they don't need to be on the screen very long to do their thing, and they can drop out of vents, so they don't need to spawn at the edge of the map and slowly lumber toward you. Expecting any enemy to function as a 'boss' is poor design choice. You're not trying to counter-play, you're just trying to play better to get around the enemy. In this way dozers are actually terrible. They're no different than normal cops really except they do more damage and have a smaller glowing weakpoint.

Having more specials on the screen at any given time could help. Having specials who don't need to stick around very long to do their thing would also help. Gas turrets or some hypothetical gas cop just needs one good shot. They counter-play is to move and not sit in the gas.

Not gas - rubber bullets. No penetration, but massive stopping power.
The Rioter (or Riot Officer, the cloaker captain) - armored enemy with a rubber bullet shotgun, which sends you to the ground in one hit. And not like it's a down - you get up in like 2-3 seconds. But that's 2-3 seconds of enemies getting free reign to shoot at you. I think that we need more enemies who can punish you for being in the wrong place, especially if you have to be in the wrong place to defeat them. Like Shields. Shields are the most dangerous enemy in the game because they have the ability to actively force you out of hiding and make you circle them, potentially exposing yourself to gunfire. Unless you decide to shoot them with something explosive, shields will gently caress you up. Not on their own, but when you leave them be for too long they will find a way to combine with other enemy units. Which in my book is good design, since this game is about drowning you in waves and waves of enemies.
