Viewtiful Joe Need for Speed Underground (or 2, I don't remember which one was the better one) Final Fantasy XII, aka the best in the series all of the Katamari games also the first Xenosaga game, probably, maybe that game isn't as good as I remember it being when I was like 13 E: in retrospect I'm pretty sure Xenosaga is actually bad

PS2 is good. Dragon Quest VIII is amazing. Shadow of Rome is a lesser known Capcom masterpiece (imo) that everyone with a PS2 should own. Black is a great indicator of the direction FPS games were moving at the time. Star Ocean: Til the End of Time is too long. But still good. Lord of the Rings: The Third Age is poo poo, but is also my favorite game of all time. SOCOM II still has an active online player base (I poo poo you not). Silent Hill II is still scary as gently caress.

The problem with getting a PS2 now is most of the best games have been ported to other systems with improvements Like Persona 4 golden on Vita is a better version of Persona 4, even if Persona 4 owns a lot. FFX got FFX HD which puts in the International Edition stuff and looks nicer. DMC 3 got an HD version which is packaged with DMC 2 (don't play it) and DMC1 (MAybe play it, kind of dated now) My favorite games that have remakes: Persona 4 Shadow of the Colossus Okami FFX/X2 MGS2 MGS3 DMC3

I'm also in the same position OP. My haul at purchase was Burnout 3, DQVIII and Nocturne. I still haven't finish DQVIII and then I'll play nocturne which these two alone is like 150 hours of game.
