Even CalTech takes in more than 20 students per year. It makes for bad television, but more importantly, the tiny student body would be conspicuously distracting.

I feel like I don't understand anything about the metaplot. I know the Beast is from Fillory which is a fictional place in some kids books except it's actually real and Quinn has dreams about a character from Fillory called Jane Chatwin and the Beast wants to kill Quentin for some unknown reason, but I don't understand any reason or connection between these things.

I think the CGI is above average given the limitations of the show. Also, the final scene where Julia and Marina are smoking made me thankful that there was a show like this with protagonists my age. Well, at least the age I imagine myself to be.

How much stuff was affected by the wellspring and the plumber turning off magic? Our world and Fillory yes, but is the Library beyond that? Where do the fairies exist relative to all this? And the Underworld? Is Fillory basically just another planet?
