Ninja Slayer is odd. It's actually not really like Inferno Cop for the whole show, it kinda flip flops between a lot of different things? There are a few episodes I could understand people really hating and I can get the first episodes really putting you off, but it does more of its own thing. Sometimes it does actual, surprisingly neat straight-faced character story stuff.

It's got a really fun dub, at the very least. I think having Vegeta as Ninja Slayer makes it a bit more fun to watch.

imo ninja slayer's big problem is it couldn't decide what it wanted to do or be, so it just kind of half-asses everything.

it's funny in places and i like dragon but it's mostly just a mess of a show. it either needed to be a bunch of shorts like inferno cop or just be an actual legit show instead of going into clipart hell 50% of the time.

I guess I kinda agree. I dunno, in the end I just feel like people are a bit hard on it, it's a solidly decent show I had fun watching.

Oh, I actually felt that way too, but I didn't know it had such a negative reputation. I gave it up after an episode or two and discussion of it just seemed to vanish.

Yeah, I think I would have ultimately preferred them going full-on with the fun, weird b-movie angle, those were some of my favorite episodes.

I'm kinda surprised Chaos Dragon isn't higher up on either list since that one seemed universally panned. I guess nobody really gave a poo poo.

i think Worst Animation and Worst Adaptation are good. they can further cement a show as bad, or allow people room to single out particularly bad aspects of shows that may not otherwise be on their main lists.

Character Design seems kinda iffy to me, since a ton of people will just pile in to vote for fanservicey or moeblob designs. It would be like the Cross Ange situation if people were allowed to vote without watching. So maybe restrict that one to shows people have watched a few episodes of?

From the suggestions so far:

Most overhyped - I agree with srice in that this is a bad argument waiting to happen.

Worst animation: I don't generally pay attention to animation quality but other people do so it's worth a go.

Worst voice acting/sound: The voice acting one seems extremely subjective to me. Sound covers everything so I'd try it as that.

Worst character design: another extremely subjective one. Likely to spawn another bad argument

Worst adaptation: This one is definitely interesting.

Worst single moment: Seems a bit too general. A best/worst moments in anime thread might be good though.

Worst dub: subs > dubs

For the ones I do include I'd probably do them as one vote each.

Congratz on being terrible anime. I think this format is good and that weighted votes spoil a bit of the fun in selecting the worst shows for various reasons. Makes sense for your top anime picks, but the bottom of the barrel doesn't really warrant the thought of ranking (considering most of us didn't watch the whole season we voted as the worst).
