I liked the part where he described being sick and hungry and tired and was just crouching down on a hill at the campground, staring at some random hiker family and unnerving them

I liked when people told him to bring some way of cooking food and his response was essentially to say he's a "picky" eater and basically only eats pizza anyway

Its not about not knowing how to cook, its about I'm a very picky eater and have literally lived on pizza, hamburgers, hotwings and chips my entire life. I'm sure you think I'm exaggerating but the people who know me would attest to this statement. I'm also 6' 3" 200# so go ahead and call me fat rear end because that isn't true either.

Great thread. Lots of good advice, and the only advice he took was to not start in Socal and try to hike across Death Valley in the middle of summer.

nigga crab pollock posted:i remember the bike trailer meant to carry children across a suburban bike trail that he was carrying by hand I ran into a couple who were hiking from Pittsburgh to DC, pushing and pulling this huge garden cart done up to look like an old covered wagon. They we like 20 miles out side of DC so clearly cart hiking is possible. They were Jesusfreak hippies so maybe that gave them the will to do it.

He didn't make it out of the park he started in. The first day was like 10 miles, then the carrier wheel broke and he spent two days moping.

it was in e/n i think, and possibly got goldmined. he ragequit the thread pretty quickly but not before giving some goons access to his private Facebook updates, which thankfully they didn't goon out and bug him so it was just a slow drip of them relaying updates as he posted from his phone. there was a google maps tracker and gofundme involved as well

or just learn how to backpack and save the trailer for when he actually makes it to a long barren stretch where there's no place to supply over a long period of time and needs to carry more poo poo. Not trying to pull it along when you're minutes from a major US city
