No his arm had stopped going backwards and was JUST starting to go forward. The announcers actually changed their mind if you go back and watch. They say they see it going forward slightly (hence, you know, the ball flying ten yards forward - that doesn't happen from just losing your grip). Now that silver alert guy they picked up on the side of the road doubled down that it was a fumble, but I'm also fairly sure he had just poo poo his pants.
