All of the castles and poo poo were literally 1/10th the price a few months ago and they were letting people trade in preorder bonuses for store credit so

I really hope no one pays the current prices

There's a bunch of groups on their forums that exist solely as "send me money and I will let you into our glorious magical hardcore PVP roleplay crafting guild hurry now space is limited" and it reminds me of the worst Star Citizen poo poo

Same, only I traded a star citizen ship for my Crowfall package and thus inadvertantly tricked a shitizen into contributing to a good game

Looks like rudimentary world hopping, a fake Eternal Kingdom you can drop buildings into with your pals, and item banking (I think?) as well as custom body crafting, all gonna be in soon.

The pace these guys keep churning poo poo out at is impressive.

The best part of the embargo mechanic is that if you have 100 items stockpiled in your vault and your faction loses the war, you lose a percentage of it at random- but that percentage can be reduced if you "kneel" to the winning faction and get branded as a loser of that campaign permanently

I dunno how it will work but I think kneeling takes place entirely after a campaign is wrapped up but before loot is divided so you have the option of being branded as a loser (visible on your player info or whatever)

I am astounded and happy that crowfall seems to actually be becoming a game. I really thought this would be a fantasy star citizen when I first saw it.

A few months ago I was surprised they had a functional deathmatch mode running and now they have multiple distinct baby-worlds chugging along with a gameplay loop of running around, gathering materials or killing people for them, and then crafting custom gear with it. It's actually getting stitched together pretty solidly.

Turns out when their repeated stance of cutting out everything they don't absolutely need to get the core game running is a valid strategy.

There are only a handful of active goons since the alpha access is for "unreasonably stupid" backer levels right now. Things will get better on that front when it opens up more.

I have volunteered my castle to be Goon City or whatever we are gonna call it.

We don't have a Clan Name picked out yet. Maybe people can throw something out there that is better than Something Cawful.

You gotta make a lot of crow noises in the public server chat to get people hyped.

That is all the news I can think of.
